La Chapelle Aubareil
The village is located 260m above sea level, 6 km from Montignac towards Valley Beune and Marcillac Saint Quentin.
Some elements of history
The land was already occupied in prehistoric times, including several periods are represented through the flint tools found here and there.
Some Roman coins dating from 69 to 269 AD, the Sagne testify to the Gallo-Roman. In the Middle Ages, our regions are organized archpriest. The Chapel Aubareil depends on that of St. Andre d'Allas, Diocese of Sarlat.
Le Bourg
You can also find typical houses with outdoor gallery, porch, or decorated with bull's eye, and the playback restored recently and the Multiple Rural opened in July 2004.
Walks with a general staff map enable walkers to discover the small heritage:
Crosses (the town, Auxerre, La Boissiere, L'Air), the washing (The Mussar, La Peyre, pumping station) and at least 13 fountains (Le Bourg, La Valade, The Beune Bass, Font of boxes, The Fox, The Croupoulou, La Rouche, La Pradasque, The Sagne, La Serre, Fontpeyrine, Fontcuberta, the Air ...)
